FAQ: Fees and billing

How are classes billed?
Every student is billed per hour of class. Your estimate and invoice list each student separately, with the subject, number of hours and hourly rate.

My children attend classes together. Why is each child billed?
In a shared session, the tutor is teaching more than one student. They answer each child’s questions, check each child’s work and track each child’s progress separately. So each child is billed for the session, at a reduced rate.

Do you offer a lower rate for siblings studying together?
Yes. When siblings attend the same class together, each child is billed at a reduced shared-session rate. Your estimate shows this rate before classes begin.

How do I know what I’ll pay before classes start?
Before the first class, we send you a written estimate. It lists each student, subject, number of hours and hourly rate, along with the total. Please check it carefully and ask us about anything that isn’t clear before you confirm.

What is the platform fee?
A platform fee of upto 10% of the class fees is added to each invoice. It appears as a separate line so you can see exactly what it is.

Can my children switch from shared classes to individual classes?
Yes. Speak to your coordinator, and we’ll send you a revised estimate before anything changes.

What if my invoice doesn’t match what I was told?
Write to support@edvi.app with the details, and we’ll review it against your estimate and your conversations with our team.
